Dear Parents

As you are aware the Government made their announcement last night at 7pm regarding easing the current lockdown measures.

I am delighted to say that we will be welcoming back all the children from Monday 8^th March.

I am really looking forward to seeing all the children back in school and I hope this will bring us some normality and continuity that we all need.

As you are aware, we altered our plans for our re-opening in September and these will now be implemented again (with a couple of amendments to timings).

Please note:

• Under Government guidance, all pupils will be expected to attend school. Please ensure your child is on time. The doors will be opened between 8:45 and 8:55am to allow a flow of movement into school. Children should not be entering the building via the main office entrance.
• Children should bring their reading packs to school as usual.
• Any work that has been completed should be kept at home as we have electronic copies in school.
• Any reading books that you have at home can be returned so we are able to organise the books for Guided Reading sessions.
• PE will resume so please ensure your child has their kit in school.
• Break times/lunch times will be staggered for the bubbles.
• School dinners are available for all year groups. The menu will be available on the school website.
• We have a concise risk assessment and want to reassure parents that the same hygiene measures will still be in place. Hand sanitiser will be available in school at different stations for the children to use and as before, all children will have their own equipment to use.
• To limit the number of people accessing the building we are still asking parents to email/call rather than come into school. If you do need to come to the office, please ensure you wear a face mask.

On Friday 12^th March, to celebrate us being able to re-open (and that I have just turned 21 again) we will be having a pyjama party. Children can come in their PJ’s with suitable footwear. We will be having a day filled with fun activities.

Please be mindful that our staff are working in bubbles and social distancing is still recommended in the community, so in order to keep our school community as safe as possible please continue to follow the Government guidelines.

We will continually evaluate, review and improve our procedures and if anything needs amending we will address this and inform you as soon as possible via our website under ‘Latest News’ or my Blog.
