Nurture Course
A Nurture Course run by the Children, Families and Wellbeing Service will commence in February 2025. The course will be running for several weeks and is open to children across school
The Nurture course is about supporting children and young people to regulate and understand their own emotions, whilst also respecting the feelings of those around them. The aim of the course is for children and young people to develop new skills and coping strategies that allow them to manage social and emotional demands more effectively.
Throughout the course the children will make and get to keep a pack of resources designed to help them deal with negative emotions, they will discuss how their actions effect other people's feelings, discuss positive aspects of their life and reflect on who is their adult support network.
