ECO boiler replacement scheme in Great Britain
What is it?
Under this scheme, eligible homeowners and private tenants can get their old inefficient boiler replaced for free. The scheme was set up to help low-income families improve the efficiency of their homes by installing more efficient boilers and upgrading or insulating their homes.
What can you get?
Homeowners across Great Britain can get a replacement boiler from as little as £240 (or sometimes a little more for complicated installations) through the government boiler scheme.
Who qualifies for the ECO boiler scheme?
You can qualify for a new boiler on the ECO government scheme if you receive at least one benefit, such as income support or disability living allowance. You need to be the homeowner, and your boiler has to be broken. If it's not broken but you're having problems, we've put together a handy guide on how to solve the most common issues.
