Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would like to invite young people, of all abilities, aged 11 and under, to take part in their Sustainability Art Competition.
All you need to do to take part is to submit an A4 (drawing/ painting/ design) with the theme: 'What does it mean to look after our planet?'
Children can think about planting trees, turning off electrics, reusing items, cycling or walking more, unplugging chargers etc.
You will need to hand your work to Miss Franklin by 25th May 2023 because the closing date is the 26th May.
The winners will be announced on 5th June. The overall winner will be invited to meet the Trust’s CEO at Royal Preston Hospital on 21st June 2023, as well as have their artwork displayed throughout the Trust, Website, and social media platforms.
Royal Academy of Art Competition
Anyone aged 4-19 can take part this year in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show competition. All you need to do is create a piece of artwork on any theme and submit it using the form below. You could ask a parent to submit the form for you or Miss Franklin at school.
If you would like Miss Franklin to submit your artwork for you, email firstname.lastname@example.org with a photo of your artwork, the title of your artwork plus some information about the piece such as the size, and a little text about the artwork and why you made it. Your artwork will be seen by the judges and the selected pieces will be shown in the Royal Academy of Art online exhibition. Some of the artworks will also be shown at the Royal Academy of Arts.
Here are some of the pieces from last year's show. https://youngartists.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibitions/2022
Your piece of work can be anything such as a collage, painting, sculpture etc.
The closing date is 29th March 2023. Good luck!
