The children at the breakfast and afterschool clubs have been busy taking part in lots of festive activities, making lovely tree decorations, writing letters to Santa and our annual Christmas colouring competition. Well done to all the children who took part it was a very hard decision picking the winners. Hope you enjoy your prizes. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Remember to go to bed early on Christmas Eve.
We have had a busy two weeks since we came back after the half term holidays. Children have enjoyed playing different board games and eating lots of winter warmers like crumpets and fruit toast.
Holly " They taste nice"
Mya "I like pitta bread but can you bring back the potato cakes!"
Fraser " I like toast "
The children have enjoyed the holiday club despite some rainy weather but we have been able to go outside and get some fresh air.
We also enjoyed doing Halloween crafts, building with lego, playing on the wii and much more.
Here are some pictures of what we have been getting up to.
We have come to the end of a busy first half term. All children have settled back into the routine and we have welcomed new children from preschool and reception. Due to the weather still being pleasant up to the end of October, the children have been able to spend lots of time outside at the afterschool club enjoying their time playing with the outdoor equipment or just chilling reading a book. Inside activities have included the drawing and writing table, board games and construction, (Year six have made some amazing models). On the laptops Year one children have asked to log onto Reading eggs much to the delight of their teachers! With the dark nights and cold weather approaching we will be moving over to our winter menu for breakfast and afterschool snacks. After discussion with some of the children they have requested that we have fruit toast and crumpets as these went down well last winter. Porridge is also a favourite for breakfast. A full menu will be posted shortly.
We hope you are enjoying your half term break and looking forward to seeing you all next week.
Hello we hope everyone is having a lovely summer! We have been very busy at Holiday Club. We still have some availability for the remainder of the holidays so please get in touch if you would like a place. Below are some pictures of the children enjoying their time with us.
