Teaching Assistant - Level 2b (supporting pupils with SEN)
Lostock Hall Community Primary School is a large two form entry primary school. We are an ‘Outstanding School’ (Ofsted 2008 and 2013) and hold Teaching School Status.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is a highly motivated and flexible team player with high expectations of all children.
This is a SEN focused role and the successful candidate will initially join our Reception team to support pupils with a range of additional needs as they settle into school life. The post may adapt to involve working in other key stages in the future.
This is a permanent term time only role working 30 hours 25 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am- 3.20pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
NVQ level 2 or above qualification –appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
First Aid certificate
Experience of as working as a Teaching Assistant in Foundation Stage/Reception
Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
Experience as a teaching assistant in Primary School settings.
Experience of supporting pupils with ASD
Experience of supporting pupils with Speech and Language difficulties
Experience of supporting pupils with Hearing Impairment
