On Wednesday 9th March, the Football Association is hosting a nationwide initiative across all schools to promote the participation of girls playing football. #LETGIRLSPLAY will hopefully see girls from all classes, across all primary and secondary schools, play football at some point during the day.
As a celebration of girl’s football, EVERY child is invited to wear their favourite football kit (or sports clothing). GIRLS will also require their water bottle and suitable trainers to play games in; football boots and shin pads are NOT required.
On the day, the girls will participate in a series of small games and fixtures against other girls in their key stage group and the boys will participate in other fun football based activities.
As with all FA initiatives and in accordance with our school values, we are again hoping to promote the messages of Fair Play, Respect and Inclusion For All.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
