Next week, we will be running a Book Fair at school. As in previous years, Junior children (Years 3-6) will have the opportunity to purchase books during school time (they can bring in their money on Monday 3rd October and they will be able to visit the fair on Monday 3rd or Tuesday 4th). Infant children (Pre-School – Year 2) will be able to visit the book fair with parents after school on Monday 3rd October in the Hall, via the yellow doors at the front of school.
The book fair, run by Scholastic, brings all the latest book titles, plus stationery and posters etc, for the children to buy, at good prices. It is a great opportunity to get children excited about reading, whilst raising money for the school at the same time. This is because, the more books that are purchased, the more money school earns to spend on books with Scholastic. Last time, our book fair raised over £800 which allowed us to update reading resources in school, giving the children access to better quality reading material.
If you would like to see the range of books available at the fair, please visit: bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/bookcases. We will have the Welcome to Reading (2+) case, the Read Alone (6+ case) and the Read On (8+) case.
Payment is by cash only please for the children in Years 3-6 who will be purchasing their books during school time. There will be the option cash or for online payments for those visiting the fair after school, though this will include securely entering your name, billing address and card details. There will not be the option of contactless payments or Apple/Google Pay.
We hope you are able to support this fantastic school event, raising money to allow us to continually update and enhance reading material in school.
Yours faithfully
