Dear Parent/Carers
Further to the Government’s announcement yesterday we will be doing everything we can to keep the school operating for children of key workers and vulnerable children in the community. We are working with other schools in the area to provide this service. The service will not run as a normal school but will be activity based.
The Government has not yet provided a definitive list of Key Workers and we are hoping this will be published at some time today.
In preparation for this and to ascertain the demand for this provision, if you consider yourself to be key worker please complete the following information, copy and paste it into an email and send it to SBM@lostockhall-pri.lancs.sch.uk or call in to the school office to complete this form.
Once we have more clarity, we will confirm if you are eligible for the provision as soon as possible.

Update 17/03/20
In response to the Government’s update to the Coronavirus strategy yesterday (Monday 16th March 2020) we are following the Government issued advice regarding isolation.
This guidance is intended for:
• people with symptoms that may be caused by coronavirus, and do not require hospital treatment, who must remain at home until they are well
• those living in households with someone who shows symptoms that may be caused by coronavirus
The main messages are:
• if you live with others and you or one of them have symptoms of coronavirus, then all household members must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill
• it is likely that people living within a household will infect each other or be infected already. Staying at home for 14 days will greatly reduce the overall amount of infection the household could pass on to others in the community.
Symptoms
The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of:
• new continuous cough and/or
• high temperature
If your child presents these symptoms however mild, they and other household members should stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days from when the symptoms start.
You do not need to call NHS111 to go into self-isolation.
