The PTFA is looking for voluntary contributions of Easter eggs to be used as prizes for Easter Bingo. Please consider buying an extra egg, but only if you are in a position to do so.
Donations can be sent into school with your child or dropped off at the school office.
Please send them in by Wednesday 23rd March
Thank you!
This week is our 'Celebrating Diversity' week in school. Each class has been learning about a world religion and taking part in a range of creative activities and workshops and year 4 children took part in a visit to a Gurdwara as part of their Sikhism topic. All children have also taken part in PSHE workshops led by the Coram Life Education SCARF team, which have been based on developing children's understanding of the themes of Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship.
On Friday 18th March we will be holding a ‘wear what you like day’ in aid of Comic Relief.
Children can dress up as a book or film character, in their pyjamas, in normal clothes, anything they like - in return for a £1 donation to this worthy cause. Payment can be made online via your SCO Pay account or by cash.
Many thanks for your support!
On Wednesday 9th March, the Football Association is hosting a nationwide initiative across all schools to promote the participation of girls playing football. #LETGIRLSPLAY will hopefully see girls from all classes, across all primary and secondary schools, play football at some point during the day.
As a celebration of girl’s football, EVERY child is invited to wear their favourite football kit (or sports clothing). GIRLS will also require their water bottle and suitable trainers to play games in; football boots and shin pads are NOT required.
On the day, the girls will participate in a series of small games and fixtures against other girls in their key stage group and the boys will participate in other fun football based activities.
As with all FA initiatives and in accordance with our school values, we are again hoping to promote the messages of Fair Play, Respect and Inclusion For All.
Dear Parent/Carer
World Book Day – Thursday 3rd March 2022
This year, we will be celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite book character on Thursday 3rd March. World Book Day £1 book tokens will also be given out on this day.
World Book Day falls at this time every year and is an international celebration of books and the love of reading.
We hope you are able to support this event and have fun dressing up!
Yours sincerely
Mrs I Parker
