Reading – Read one of your books on Rising Stars & complete the quiz to earn your star.  Please also read key words daily as flashcards (should take 2-3 minutes).

Phonics - Watch the Alphablocks clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN0vbgpCThI which looks at a variety of phonemes, many which we have just learnt. Then, play Dragon’s Den to sort the real and fake words by clicking on https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/3/dragons-den Click ‘Start’, ‘Phase 3’, then ‘+air’ to practise sorting some ‘air’ words, then try it again with ‘ure’ words.

English - Don't forget to keep adding to your story daily if you are taking up the English challenge.

Today, complete the sentences by filling in the correct missing word.  There are a number of sheets to complete in the document below, with varying levels of difficulty.  Choose the one that is most appropriate for you child.  If you think they can fill in the gaps with the appropriate word independently, then let them do this, using their phonics knowledge.  Otherwise, they can choose from the 3 available choices on the other sheet and write in / cut out the correct one.

• Extension- Roll the dice twice and add the numbers together.  Can you think of a number that is greater than/fewer than this number?  Try this a few times.

Topic - This term in PSHE, we are looking at our responsibilities and being good citizens through the theme of being helpful.  To begin with, watch Mrs Parker’s video to introduce this session: https://youtu.be/5-QsWv6NDeU Afterwards, decide on two things that you could do to help your family in the week and try to ensure you do these.  You can use the household chores link below to discuss some ideas if you wish.  Possible ideas:  putting toys away, setting the table for tea, pairing up the socks after they’ve been washed, feeding the pets, doing reading / homework without being asked/cajoled, playing with a younger sibling, making their bed etc.
