Friday, March 5 – Enrichment Afternoon
This afternoon we would like you to have a go at a creative art activity which is related to yesterday's World Book Day – A book in a jar.
Have a think about how one of your favourite books could be represented in a single jar. All you need to do is get an empty jam jar or coffee jar and inside create images to represent your book choice – see some examples below. If you don’t have a jar you could always create a book in a box such as a cereal box. Alternatively, you could just design and label your 'book in a jar' using the sheet below.
There are some examples below for you to have a look at. Any clear jar can be used, a coffee jar, jam jar or other. You can put drawings or items to represent your book into your jar, selected quotes from your book or perhaps even clues about its characters or setting.
Please take a picture of your work – we can’t wait to see them and will show them on the blog in a gallery.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
