In today’s lesson you will consider the impact you can have on the world around you and will explore how to help make other people happy and the results of doing this.

Unit 6: J’apprends le francais
Lesson 2 & 3
Building from last term.
Lesson 2 is really quick and looks at asking what someone’s name is: Comment tu t'appelles?
And then how you would respond: Je m’appelle (your name).
Listen to the pronunciations and practise yourself, then move onto Lesson 3.
Lesson 3 looks at how old you, or someone else is, so you may want to recheck your French numbers from 1-10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsc3qLMaCu8
Work through the online PowerPoint and then complete (only) One of the Three of the challenges from the boxes. Less, Standard or More challenge- it's up to you.
Wednesday - Topic - PE
Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA) Problem Solving
I would like you to create an obstacle/challenge course for yourself.
Be as creative and as safe as possible - don’t go wrecking your parent’s furniture- (I don’t want to get in trouble).
You could do this inside or outside of your home, it’s up to you (and your parents/carers!)
An example course:
Start at the front door >
hop to the living room on your left leg >
pencil roll left twice and right twice >
crawl to the washing machine >
take three steps away from the washing machine, then throw 3 dish towels into the washing machine (in a row)>
walk to the kitchen table, balancing a ? (sponge) on your head >
dance/march around the kitchen table ten times >
moonwalk to the front door >
Finish
I’d love to see what you create, take pictures or videos (you’ll have to attach them properly in order for us to see) and we could add some creative courses to the blog.
Have fun and be safe!
Thursday - Topic - Music
We will now have a music lesson every Thursday through Zoom.
Mr Crane (from the Lancashire Music Service) is the Music Teacher that will be leading these sessions.
During these sessions children in school will be using glockenspiels.
If children who are working from home have a glockenspiel/xylophone at home that they can use then great, but this is probably unlikely.
There are lots of xylophone apps online that can be downloaded that the children can use at home instead. ‘Easy Xylophone’ is an example of an app that can be used on iPad and iPhone.
If this is not possible, Mr Crane has said that it really doesn’t matter what the children use, as long as they are able to listen and take part.
They can use a pan and a wooden spoon or even their own hands tapping on a table or a book.
The sessions will start at 1.15pm and end at 2pm.
Mrs Smithson will email you all with the zoom link details to access the session, so please check your Purple Mash email before the session begins.
Friday - Topic - (Technology free afternoon for well being)
This afternoon if you can, spend some time together, away from a screen.
You could read your favourite book, play a board game, bake a cake, go for a walk/bike ride or build a den in the garden.
If the weather is fine today, go for a walk or into your garden and look out for the signs of Spring e.g. buds on trees, plant shoots etc. Gather some things that you can find, for example leaves, twigs etc and make your own collage to create a picture. Send in some pictures of what you create. We would love to see them!
(For the last week of home learning next week, we would like your suggestions for Friday’s no-screen activity. If you think of anything, please could you send it via email when you submit your work?)
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
