We would like to wish all our families a happy new year. We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and would like to thank you for the lovely cards and gifts we received. The children have settled back in well to their routines.
This week we have been learning all about buildings, and looking at houses and homes in particular. We have been developing our vocabulary, discussing what we might see inside and outside our homes, what the different rooms are called, the different sounds we might hear inside our homes and so on. We have opened up our new role play this half term which is the builder's yard as well as creating some collage houses.
This week, we have continued to learn the sh, ch, th and ng sounds in phonics. Next week we will move on to the ai & ee sounds.
This week's key words were he, she, you, my, was. We will probably continue to learn the same key words next week. Please keep learning them at home so children can recognise them quickly, by sight.
Thank you for your continued support.
