Please remember to come along to the last Zoom session today! We will be looking at the baby pictures sent in earlier in the week.
– To link with this week’s English work on ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ please practise the song “The goats came marching”, using the clip https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/nursery-rhymes-the-goats-come-marching/zjqgscw .
Reading – Please read one of the books you have been assigned on Rising Stars each day. The idea is to read a book more than once to build up fluency. Once you have read a book a couple/few times so you are more fluent, please complete the quiz at the end and move it to the ‘finished’ section.
Please also read key words daily as flashcards (should take 2-3 minutes)
Phonics-Listen to and join in with the actions to the Alphabet song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYeMpUdufNk. Complete the capital letter handwriting sheets. Then have a go at writing some of your own capital letters.
Maths- Watch the video clip Week 3 Session 5 Patterns (https://vimeo.com/508841701 ).
Task- Have a go at making patterns using your bodies. What patterns have you made? Can you record the pattern and share on Tapestry? https://wrm-13b48.kxcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/PDF-Building-9-10-Wk-3-Session-5-Pattern.pdf .
Extension- Can you make longer repeating patterns? (4 body movements)
Topic- ‘Screen Free Friday’- Spring is on its way and the birds are coming out. Have a go at making a bird feeder, using the recipe below and put it outside. See if you can spot any birds eating from it.
After that, reflect upon your time at home. What have you enjoyed? What are you most looking forward to when you come back to school next week? Maybe make some preparations ready for Monday, like getting laid out, finding your reading pack ready to take, making sure there's nothing left in it except the books that need to go back to school, drawing a picture for your friend and so on.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
