Weekly Nursery Rhyme - Make sure you can sing the song Ten Green Bottles off by heart today.  You don't need to send us a video (though you can if you wish), but do practise at least once more to make sure you know it.

Reading - Please read one of the books you have been assigned on Rising Stars and complete the quiz. 

Phonics - Login to Education City and complete Stig's Tree Adventure on tricky/key words.  We would also like you to complete the Key Word Assessment (see below) and send it to us.  To be able to read on sight means reading correctly first time, quite quickly, without any sounding out.  Please tick in the appropriate boxes.  If you are unable to print this out, we will also include it within the home learning of the first week back and you may pick a copy up from school from Monday 22nd Feb.

• Come along to Miss Nisbet’s Chinese New Year Zoom session (RN 10am, RP 11am). Children please feel free to come in party wear. We will go on a quick scavenger hunt and then we will play the game – Who am I? I will be describing different animals from the Chinese Zodiac calender. Can you guess the animals correctly? Please find the hand out below for this.
• Try some different Chinese food- e.g. prawn crackers, noodles, spring rolls. What do they taste like?
• Another activity you might like to try if you have some paints and toilet rolls is the heart printing (image below) as it is Valentine's Day on Sunday! ☺ You could do it as the front cover of a card to someone you love like a family member (or even all the family), or a friend.
