Nursery Rhyme-Today is the last day to practise this week's Nursery Rhyme. Perhaps you could have a go at performing it!
Reading – Please read one of the books you have been assigned on Rising Stars each day. The idea is to read a book more than once to build up fluency. Once you have read a book a couple/few times so you are more fluent, please complete the quiz at the end and move it to the ‘finished’ section.
Phonics-Recap on key words the, to, I, no, go, into, is, it, as, at, his, can, get, up, am, an, he, she, we, me, be, you, all, are, her, was, they, my, mum, had & dad. Can children read these words on sight? Practise a couple of times. Introduce new words put, see & if and practise reading these. NB: If any of you are ahead and feel like your child can read, quickly and on sight, all the reception key words, please let us know and we can provide you with the next set of key words. Then, practise certain letter formation (e.g. the a, d, g or any that your child finds more challenging) by putting something like flour or glitter or rice (uncooked) into a tray if you have one and using your finger to practise the letter formation
English– Complete the handwriting homework ‘Tricky words 2’.

What’s your favourite music to dance to? Have fun making up a dance or just move to the music and have fun, expressing yourself! Why not wear your favourite clothes while you are having a boogie? Can we see a little video on Tapestry? ☺ If you would prefer to follow on to a dance, try https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/pshe-super-mood-movers-friends-and-family/z4yq8hv OR https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/pshe-super-mood-movers-being-happy-and-safe/z6q3sk7
