Reading- Please log into Reading Eggspress, there is a book set for you to read. Please don’t worry if you don’t finish this today, as you can continue with it tomorrow.

Rubies and Diamonds - Please look at the spelling lists attached. Read through the words and discuss the meanings of any which you are unsure of with an adult. Then, write the words out in your BEST handwriting, making sure all of the letters are sitting correctly on the line.
English - Today, we are continuing with the story of Paddington. Have a listen to the story on the link below up to 7.38

Task - Pretend that you are Paddington and write a postcard to Aunt Lucy. You can use the template set on purple mash or make your own postcard using some paper.
This week we are looking at fractions and today we will be focusing on making equal parts. There are two videos to watch today. Part one and part two. For the first video you will need 4 or 5 pieces of square paper.

Task - Today you are going to write a description of Paddington. Try to describe what he looks like as well as his personality. There is a template set for you on Purple Mash. Or, if you prefer you can write your description on a piece of paper.

Task - log into Purple Mash, there is a template set or you could just write some sentences about her on a piece of paper. We would like you to write about Queen Victoria's life. As a challenge, you could do some extra research about her life with an adult. See if you can find out any more facts e.g. the names of her nine children.
Music - This half term we are thinking about space inspired music. We will be listening to different pieces of music over the half term. Today, we 'd like you to listen to a little bit of the link below, which is a space inspired soundscape.
In that soundscape there are lots of sustained (long) sounds and lots of electronic sounds.
Task - Log into Purple Mash, there is a 'to do' set using 'Busy Beats'. On this program you just drag and drop the different sounds into the circle and it creates repetitive 'ripple' like patterns. I know this software is new so just have a go and see if you can create a space inspired soundscape.
Thursday 4th March - World Book Day.
Reading- Finish off the reading book which we set for you on Reading Eggspress. Then if you’ve done that do another lesson on either Reading Eggs or Reading Eggspress.
Spelling - On the worksheet attached, write out your spellings in your neatest handwriting.

To fit in with our Paddington World Book theme, we would like you to select a cuddly toy to keep dry. We are going to be investigating how to make a shelter for our cuddly toys and which materials are waterproof. Watch the video then have a go at the investigation by filling in the table attached.
