We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities including Cross Country, Football, ICT, Dance, Drama, Cricket, Tennis, creative Writing, Art, Languages, Choir and Model Vehicle club.
Parental written permission is needed for a child to take part in these activities. These activities take place after school finishing between 4.00pm and 4.45pm depending upon the club.
Instrumental music tuition is available in brass, woodwind, guitar, keyboard, and string instruments. These lessons are on a subsidised payment basis.
Pupils in year four take part in the Wider Opportunities Music project, all pupils are given a brass instrument to play for the year. Mrs Coupe, a Brass teacher from the Lancashire Music Service comes in every Thursday afternoon to deliver music lessons to all of our pupils in year 4.
Brass Attack is a brass band and is open to any child who is learning to play a brass instrument and those pupils wishing to continue playing a brass instrument after the year 4 Wider Opportunities project. Brass Attack is funded by The Lancashire Music Service and is run by Mrs Coupe. The group meet on Thursdays after school until 4.15pm. Pupils wishing to attend speak to either Mrs Cookson or Mrs Coupe, the cost to parents is £30 for the year.
