Well done to Lilli-Mai McCarthy for coming 3rd on volt at her Level 5 competition last Sunday.
Lilli-Mai attends City of Preston Gymnastics Club and is now ranked 3rd in the North West. Hard work and dedication truly does pay off...if you want something, go get it!
Thank you to Mr Twinn for all his hard work over the 9 years he has been LHCPS's Site Supervisor. There has never been a job too big or too small. Our school is a wonderful environment for staff, children and visitors, which is a credit to all the hard work Mr Twinn has put in.
We all wish him well as he embarks on his retirement!
We have just waved our Year 6 children off to PGL for their activity week.
I am sure they will have a fantastic time!
Also, welcome to our Pre-School children who started their educational journey with us today!
WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!
Wow! I cannot believe our first week is over.
Welcome to all our new Reception children and their families. They have settled really well and have enjoyed exploring their new classroom.
I hope you'll agree with me that Year 6 children look very smart in our new Y6 colour...setting an excellent example to all the younger children.
Lots of exciting things are planned for this term...I will update regularly via my blog and newsletters.
Please always check for important dates on our calendar.
COMING SOON - downloadable parent app to improve our communication!
NSPCC Parent workshop 4.5.18
Thank you to Chris Dunn from the NSPCC that came to share his online safety knowledge with parents today.
The workshop was very informative and provided us with some top tips.
1. Google 'Net-aware' for information about apps - this gives age restrictions and risk levels.
2. Google 'Share aware' - this provides videos for us to share with children to educate about online risks.
3. Check privacy settings on devices AND apps that are downloaded.
4. How to stay safe = Explore - Talk - Manage - Agree
Thank you to the parents who attended today.
Sport Relief 1000 mile challenge 23.3.18.
Well done to EVERYONE at LHCPS this week. We gave ourselves a target to collectively run 1000 miles this week in order to raise money for Sport Relief. We beat our target by reaching 1531 miles!!! WOW!
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter.
Class photographs were taken today. All the children looked wonderful!
We will send out the proofs as soon as we receive them.
Well done to our Year 3 Choir members who sang at King George's Hall last night at the Sing Together Concert. Thank you to all parents and families that attended and also a huge thank you to Mrs Cookson and Mrs Stewart who work each week with the choir.
Individual and family photos 7.2.18
All the children today have looked lovely having their photographs taken by Tempest.
As soon as we have the proofs we will send them out.
I would just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
May this year bring health and happiness to all.
Welcome back children of Lostock Hall CPS!
I hope you have all had a fantastic summer (it certainly seems to have flown by!) and are refreshed and ready for a wonderful school year.
There are lots of things to look forward to over the next term but in particularly the Year 6 children will be going on their residential to PGL next week (11th-15th September). They will have an amazing time!
Here is to a great term and new school year for 2017-2018!
Congratulations Miss Goldsmith; farewell Miss Moore!
Well done to Miss Goldsmith for receiving her 20 year work service award! She does not look a day over 25!
Farewell to Miss Moore who has been an Outstanding Reception Nursery Nurse; the staff and children will miss you dearly!
Many thanks to Lostock Hall Academy teachers for bringing some of their students to teach our year 5 and 6 children about money.
All children gained a great deal from this; especially managing a budget.
A mile a week!
To promote exercise and well-being at Lostock Hall CPS, junior classes have been walking a mile every week. I have been doing my best to walk with each class when I can. Today was year 6's turn again. A great walk in a little bit of rain but feeling refreshed!
Year 6 Head Boy and Girl; Deputy Head Boy and Girl
Well done to Ryan and Rhianne for being voted Head Boy and Head Girl and for Max and Darcy for being voted Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl.
It was a tough process that the children went through, with voting from all children and all staff.
Welcome back and PGL
I hope everyone had a well-rested summer and is refreshed for our new school year!
For year 6 it was straight to PGL. Here are a few picture highlights
